A tasting in Elba’s wineries, to discover the island’s wines and the people who make them. From Ansonica to Aleatico, each tasting reveals different grape varieties and ways of working the land.
At family-run wineries, you can meet the winemakers, see the vineyards and discover how strongly a place shapes the character of the grapes. Even a walk between the rows can change the way you taste the wine afterwards.
With a sommelier as your guide, explore the island’s styles and grape varieties: Ansonica, Sangiovese-based reds and sweet Aleatico. Aromas and sensations become clues to understanding what is in the glass.
Cheeses, cured meats and local bites accompany the tasting. A pairing can bring out something you had not noticed before: another way to discover Elba’s food and wine.
